Australia Day 2010
1/26/2010 3:19:02 PM

"Happy Australia Day" everyone!

I hope you are all enjoying a lovely day off relaxing, BBQ-ing, gardening or whatever else it is you may be doing.
Australia is certainly putting on a show for us all, it is a gorgeous day outside.

No day off for me I'm working in my studio today, but it's nice to work away on a day like this with the door open & the fresh air blowing in.

I am so thankful that I live in such a great country.
No matter where I travel to around the world, there's no greater feeling than when the plane lands back home in Australia.

Enjoy your day fellow Aussie's.

5. Oxidising (blackening) the letters/numbers.

6. Letting the resin cure.

7. Putting the entire piece together.

8. Packaging the bracelet & getting it ready to send off.

These 8 pics are not all the steps to make this bracelet of course but just some of the main ones to show you some of the process that goes into making a piece like this.

This was a custom order that I had for Christmas.
The photo's are of some of the steps with making the bracelet.

1. Making the bezels & custom stamping the backs with names, dates etc.

2. Soldering the bezel walls & bases together.

3. Assembling the chain, ready to solder.

4. Bales attached to bezels & excess metal filed off.

.......to be continued!

"Happy New Year!"

I hope the year is going well for everyone so far & that you all had a great time counting in the new year.

Unfortunately no parties for me.
I had to work from 10pm through to 3am and for new year's day I caught up on housework!
Hope this year gets a little more exciting than that!

Stay safe all and in the next few days I will be unleashing some new items for all of my stores.
